A couple of weeks ago I visited MADE, a ‘design product retailer working to build a valuable resource of modern Canadian design’ located on Dundas Street West in Toronto. There, on the floor, was a giant rolled-up carpet with one corner peeking out and bursting with colour.

Owners Julie Nicholson and Shaun Moore explained that the carpet was too big to unfurl in the shop (someone was coming to pick it up) but that they would send me a photo of it if I wanted to see it in its glory. Though the carpets are not available at MADE, other textile works by Bev Hisey are on display and for sale. Thank you, Julie, for sending this along – it is absolutely stunning.
