It’s been in the works for a couple of years. I came up with a dozen names and angles … I fretted a bit and gave up completely once or twice because I was nervous about it. But then a funny thing happened. I started to plan my own funeral in my head. And I thought, “This is ridiculous. If I can face the prospect of organizing an event that marks my own mortal demise, surely I can start a blog.”
So here we are.
The first day of the Chinese Year of the Rat.

Hey Kyra. We exchanged emails when you were doing publicity for ThinkFilm (in my capacity as film reviewer at Toronto Screen Shots). Glad to see you’re starting a personal blog. Did the boss make you do it?
